The Art Institute of Washington presents contemporary Mexican Art from Mexico - including drawings, paintings, and mixed media by three Mexican artists residing in Queretaro , Mexico .
The three participating artists are accomplished in their field as exhibiting artists, two of the artists are faculty and the fourth is a current graduate student at the university they are all affiliated with: The Universidad de Queretaro.
The artwork and the bilingual exhibition text in English and Spanish serves to introduce a broad audience from our local community to the ways in which contemporary Latino and Latin American artists have used art to examine their personal and cultural identities, histories, values, and the world around them.
