Convicted MS-13 member in machete attack

The teen who attacked a member of a rival gang with a machete and severed three fingers on the victims left hand, was found guilty and sentenced to 23 years in prison for aggravated malicious wounding, and another five for gang membership.

The Washington Post reported that, this Wednesday, a Fairfax County jury gave this sentence to Wilber Rivera, 19, a member of the Salvadoran gang MS-13, that has terrorized the region in the last few years. The victim, Shawn Schroeder, 25, is a member of a Los Angeles based gang.
