Aston Villa manager David O'Leary on Thursday warned Liverpool against bidding for their Peruvian winger Nolberto Solano.

Solano has been linked with an exchange deal involving Liverpool striker Milan Baros. Villa have agreed personal terms with Baros and are looking towards reaching a compromise with Liverpool on a fee.
But O'Leary warned his Reds counterpart Rafael Benitez off the 30-year-old former Newcastle player.

"I admire Liverpool 's taste, but Nobby is an important part of our plans and will not be going anywhere," O'Leary said on his club's website.

Solano is in the final year of his contract, which expires at the end of June 2006, and although Villa claim to have been approached by Liverpool , they are determined to keep last season's top scorer at the club.
He finished with eight league goals last season and was named the club's player of the year.
